WEEKLY INSPIRATION & ENCOURAGEMENT

Features: The Praise Page

When it comes to remembering the goodness and faithfulness of God, it is easy to forget! All through scripture we see examples of people groups forgetting the faithfulness of God. One of my favorite examples of this is in Exodus 14 and 16. In just a few short chapters, we see the Israelites delivered from slavery and brought through the Red Sea, and then they are complaining about not having food to eat. I begin to have a hard time understanding how they can forget all of the victories God won for them, until I take a look at my own life.

In Exodus 17 God commands Moses to record His goodness and faithfulness. He says, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it,” The “Praise” page is a space to record and remember. This space is designed for you to record the victories.

When I look back through this space in my Prayer Planners, it is filled with answers. Sometimes the answers seem like small victories. The celebration of your child not throwing a fit because you cut the PB & J in triangles instead of squares. The celebration of a long awaited date night. Other times the answers may seem like more impactful victories. The celebration of your sister ringing the bell after 2 long years of breast cancer. The celebration of your husband finding the perfect job after 6 long months of unemployment. No matter the size, God’s goodness, faithfulness, and power are woven throughout our daily lives.

This space gives you the opportunity to record and remember the ways that God has shown up for you over the past month, big and small. Take time to read and reflect on your prayers to see how God responded to your needs.
